Chapter's Geographic Area of Jurisdiction
Located in Southern New Jersey, the Atlantic/Cumberland Chapter of the American Red Cross provides services to all communities in Atlantic and Cumberland counties.
This area covers 1,000 square miles, 37 municipalities, and has a rapidly increasing population that is approximately 400,000 people.
The entire eastern boundary is the Atlantic Ocean and the entire western boundary is the Delaware Bay. Our community is richly diversified.
The Atlantic City shore area enjoys the casino gaming, top-name entertainment and related nightlife venues amidst the history of the Miss America Pageant; the relaxing island communities of Brigantine, Ventnor, Margate and Longport; the fast-growing areas of Galloway and Egg Harbor Townships; the rich farmlands of Cumberland County; the superb fisheries of both coasts; the Main Street flavor of towns such as Vineland, Bridgeton, Millville, Hammonton, and Pleasantville; as well as the rustic beauty of the Pinelands.
